Configuration options when Action is AddBarcode #
If the selected action is AddBarcode, the following configuration options are available:
Barcodes #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode / ReadBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode or ReadBarcode.
- Expand Barcodes.
- Click on Add Barcode.
- Expand Barcode [1].
Within this section, you’ll find the following fields by default: Simbology type, Barcode text, Barcode text location, Width (in points), Height (in points), XDimension (in points), Draw border, Code placement, Location on page, Add to pages, Barcode image format.
Symbology type #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode / ReadBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Symbology type
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode or ReadBarcode.
Specifies the barcode symbology type. There are over 60 options, for example: QR (default), Codabar, Code39Standard, EAN8, MaxiCode, DatabarLimited, DataMatrix, ISBN, etc.
Barcode text #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Barcode text
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
Enter the text that will accompany the barcode. This placeholder editor field supports placeholders and property value references for dynamic content.
Barcode text location #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Barcode text location
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
Set the barcode text location.
- None (default): If this option is selected, the barcode text is not visible.
- Above: If this option is selected, the barcode text is placed above the barcode image.
- Below: If this option is selected, the barcode text is placed below the barcode image.
Width (in points) #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Width (in points)
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
The default is 1 point.
Height (in points) #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Height (in points)
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
The default is 1 point.
XDimension (in points) #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > XDimension (in points)
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
The X-dimension specifies the smallest width of the barcode’s bars or spaces. Increasing this value will increase the overall width of the barcode image. The default value is 1 point.
Draw border #

Border configuration #

These are additional configuration options for the barcode border. This section contains Border width, Border style, and Border color.
Border width #

Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode and Draw border is Yes.
Specifies the border width. The default is 0.1 point.
Border style #

Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode and Draw border is Yes.
Specifies the border style. Choose from the following options:
- Solid (default)
- Dash
- Dot
- DashDot
- DashDotDot
Border color #

Code placement #

Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
Specifies where to place a barcode within a document. Choose one of the options:
- Location (default): Select this option to specify the exact placement of the barcode using the following fields: Location on page and Add to pages. To see the details, please click on each option.
- Placeholder: Select this option to position the barcode based on a predefined placeholder, with the Placeholder field available for specification.
Placeholder #

Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
Enter a value to act as a placeholder for the barcode.
Barcode image format #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: AddBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Barcode image format
Displayed only when Action is AddBarcode.
Choose the format for the generated barcode image. The default format is PNG. Other available options include: BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, TIFF in CMYK, EMF, SVG.
Configuration options when Action is ReadBarcode #
If the selected action is ReadBarcode, the following configuration options are available:
Read from pages #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: ReadBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Read from pages
Displayed only when Action is ReadBarcode.
Specifies which pages the barcode will be read from.
- All: Read barcodes from all pages.
- First (default): Read the barcode from the first page only.
- Last: Read the barcode from the last page only.
Property #
State Actions > State Action [1] > Action: ReadBarcode > Configuration > Barcodes > Barcode [1] > Property
This option allows saving value from barcode to selected property. Select from the list or start typing the desired property. The list contains 50 suggestions of the properties within the vault. The properties are referenced by a GUID, ID or alias.
