Calculation options

Calculated property #

Specifies the property that will hold the calculated value. Select from the value list. The properties are referenced by a GUID, ID, or alias.

Children objects #

This section specifies objects that hold properties to use in the calculation. The following fields are available by default:

Relationship mode #

Children objects > Relationship mode

Defines the type of relationship between parent and children objects, specifying how references between them are established.

  • All (default): When this option is selected, both parent and child objects can reference each other.
  • FromParentToChildren: When this option is selected, parent objects must reference the children objects, but not vice versa.
  • FromChildrenToParent: When this option is selected, children objects must reference the parent objects.

Relationship property #

Children objects > Relationship property

Relationship property between parent and children objects. If not set, any property can be used as relationship.

Specifies the property used to define the relationship between parent and child objects. If not set, any property can be used as the relationship reference between parent and child objects. Select from the value list. The properties are referenced by a GUID, ID, or alias.

Object type #

Children objects > Object type

Specifies the object type of children objects. Select from the list of object types.

Class #

Children objects > Classes

Specifies the class of children objects. Select from the list of classes.

Workflow #

Children objects > Workflow

Specifies the workflow of children objects. Select from the list of workflows.

State #

Children objects > State

Specifies the workflow state of children objects. Select from a list of available workflow states within a particular workflow. NOTE! If you have entered a workflow state, you must also specify the workflow above.

Search filters #

Children objects > Search filters

Optional search filters that children objects need to satisfy. Multiple filters are combined with the OR operator. Within the Search filters section, you’ll find the Search conditions field.

Dynamic search filters #

Children objects > Dynamic search filters

Optional dynamic search filters that children objects need to satisfy. Multiple filters are combined with the OR operator. Within the Dynamic search filters section, you’ll find the following fields: Property, Operator, Value, and Mode.

Look in #

Children objects > Look in

Displayed when a search filter is added.

Determines whether the source object must meet the specified conditions in its current version or any version throughout its history. For more details, click here.

Calculation properties #

This section allows you to add properties that will be used in the calculation.

  1. Expand Calculation properties.
  2. Click on Add Property definition.

Property definition #

Specifies the property to use in the calculation. Select from the value list. Properties are referenced by a GUID, ID, or alias.

Function #

Specifies the function to apply to calculate properties.

  • Sum (default): Valid for numeric and lookup-based properties.
  • Subtract: Valid for numeric properties only.
  • Multiply: Valid for numeric properties only.
  • Divide: Valid for numeric properties only.
  • Average: Valid for numeric properties only.
  • Percent: Valid for numeric properties only.
  • Count: Valid for numeric, text, date, boolean, and lookup-based properties.
  • Min: Valid for numeric, text, date, and lookup-based properties. If selected, the Order by field becomes available.
  • Max: Valid for numeric, text, date, and lookup-based properties. If selected, the Order by field becomes available.
  • First: Valid for numeric, text, date, and lookup-based properties. If selected, the Order by field becomes available.
  • Last: Valid for numeric, text, date, and lookup-based properties. If selected, the Order by field becomes available.
  • Concatenate: Valid for all property types. If selected, the Separator field becomes available.
  • ToLower: If selected, the Separator field becomes available.
  • ToUpper: If selected, the Separator field becomes available.
  • ToLowerInvariant: If selected, the Separator field becomes available.
  • ToUpperInvariant: If selected, the Separator field becomes available.

Order by #

Displayed only when Function is one of the following: Min, Max, First, or Last.

If calculated properties are lookups to objects, they will be ordered by the selected property. Select the property definition from the value list.

Separator #

Displayed only when Function is one of the following: Concatenate, ToLower, ToUpper, ToLowerInvariant, ToUpperInvariant.

Specifies the separator used to separate concatenated children’s property values. The default value is ,.
